About
Trishock.com is a domain name I (epitaph) acquired before the turn of the millenium. It has been used for a variety of purposes in the past decade, with some of the most notable being as a pokemon fansite, a personal blog, a portfolio of web design and graphic art, a gaming website and a portal for many various other projects hosted off of the domain.
As time passed, the domain became wedded to the physical server it was hosted on. The original server which became known as "the trishock box" was retired only a few years ago in favor of new equipment. It's 750MHz P-II and 768MB of PC-100 SDRAM hosted websites and game servers for UT2003, UT2004 and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
After such a long time, the amount of projects, gaming teams and people hosted off the server had increased to levels that were more than I felt inclined to deal with. Over the past two years a large-scale cleanup began leading up to the replacement of the original server. This new painfully basic site was created as a memory of everything "the trishock box" represents to me and those who used it. Countless hours of gaming, many days on VOIP servers and various posts on discussion boards are a few things that come to mind.
All of the remaining important aspects of the server will be consolidated and retained on this main site. Southern Comfort, a CPMA Quake3 server, will be continuing operation and I have moved most of the literature and files for it over to this new site. Unfortunately, the time came to say goodbye to the Deus Ex Machina website and most of the content that it held. Team histories for Immolate, Point of View and Deus Ex Machina are available.
